Firstly, "vikings" weren't real. The way that "vikings" (they were called norsemen) dressed was the way that every person from northwest europe dressed. there was little to no difference.
secondly heri joensen and scadinavian metal musicians don't dress like "vikings. "vikings" wore wool tunics, wool trousers, maybe some fur clothing, cloaks, went barefoot in summer and soft leather shoes in the winter. they didn't wear combat boots or have leather jackets or trousers for fucks sake.
picrelated is how most dressed.

The thing is people modify it to a more "modern" look. Instead of wool tunics, maybe a wool jumper would be better. Instead of a cloak, an overcoat would be an equivalent. As for shoes plain leather shoes/boots and so on.

Fashion based on historical records isnt based on imitation, but inspirstion.

yes, but looking like a metalhead isn't looking like a "viking" at all.
wear a jumper, slim wool trousers and some nice leather shoes or boots, not a band shirt, leather jacket and leather trousers.

>vikings weren't real
if they're fictional fantasy people then why the fuck are you bringing up real world history people in this thread which is about fantasy people?

COULD IT BE YOU'RE JUST SHOWING OFF WHAT LITTLE HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE YOU'VE GOT LIKE IT'S GONNA IMPRESS ANYBODY?

Those leg wraps would have gotten you laughed out of Scandinavia. The Kieven Rus wore those.

why do you keep posting Anglo-Saxon garments?
>Vivid colors, flowing silk ribbons, and glittering bits of mirrors - the Vikings dressed with considerably more panache than we previously thought. The men were especially vain, and the women dressed provocatively, but with the advent of Christianity, fashions changed, according to Swedish archeologist Annika Larsson.

Most Swedish vikings wore Rus' clothing by the way.
