this is why i stopped going to barbers and started going to a "salon." sure it's a little emasculating but it's worth it. Some old Italian guy or some Latino immigrant won't know what to do with my hair because they don't understand what I'm going for or why. Nah this is the length I keep them at, everytime I go to the hairdresser I just ask to shorten and thin out everything and it kinda gives me this shapeless hairstyle

My hair is naturally really thick and wavy, but I have to keep it under control rather than enhance the curls.
I shampoo once a week and usually put a beanie on for an hour or so after every time I wash it with water. I use an anti-frizz serum I got for like $3 to keep it smoother.
Anyway, the beanie makes the waves more regular and angled away from my face. If I left it alone, it would all curl downwards into my eyes and up to the sides because of my ridiculous cowlick on the front of my head.

depends on your type of hair. I have thick wavy hair and most white, Latino, Asians have difficulty cutting it. My options are pretty meek so I just go someplace that washes your hair fist and I pray for the best.
