Our Sapporo (likely yours as well) comes from Guelph, and it's weak piss. I've had stronger and more flavourful domestic beer. It might have been better when it was coming from Europe or Japan; I remember liking it in the past. Asahi and Kirin are similar though, dry and slightly hoppy. I prefer Kirin, but I can't quite put my finger on why. Maybe a cleaner finish. I haven't really had them side by side in a long time. Cost is all comparable here too.

Asahi black is fucking goat though, but they never have it here in Ontario.

I find most Mexican beer (that I've had) too watery and lacking in flavour for me. I don't mind Negra Modelo, but I certainly don't consider it great by any stretch. I'm just glad most Mexican places at least carry it as an alternative to the light/pale lagers.
