You can cry all you want, if you wear H&M you might as well shop at target. People irl who have an interest in fashion do not shop at H&M. Teenagers who like to blow their 20€ savings on horridly woven sweaters like >>11925722 and so called "jeans" do. Poor people too lazy to thrift do. Shopping at H&M and similar fashion discounters is the ultimate signal that reads: I am not interested in fashion, I just like to buy whatever, I care neither about quality nor design and I certainly don't care for putting actual work into my outfits.

Sorry but what you're saying is retarded. You're not "fashion" just because you buy specific brands. If you think something looks good, but you decide not to buy it because it's from H&M, then you're a mindless sheep.

>> No.11925923

>>11925874
I never said anything about buying specific brands. What I'm saying is that if you think something from H&M looks good you are obviously not interested in fashion. It doesn't necessarily make you a "mindless sheep" but it certainly shows that you are uninformed, which is likely a sign of laziness and lack of interest.

>> No.11925954

>>11925923
not the anon but if I buy something from a different website and it looks vaguely the same as one product from H&M that means it's okay? cool thanks anon

>>11925954
If you buy bad quality clothing for inappropriately high prices, you're an idiot. That's the bottom line.

>> No.11925980

>>11925967

define quality, I always feel the material and ask a few questions about my products before I purchase it and I just finished a run from H&M a week ago, pair of jeans, sweater and a few tees and button-ups for less than $100 CAD which is really nothing now a days.

The bottom line is that you don't really have any evidence or concrete answers besides saying "lol H&M? please i only buy QUALITY clothing" without anything to back up the idea that H&M is shit and you can buy stuff for way cheaper at another place.

>if you think something from H&M looks good you are obviously not interested in fashion.

oh that's your point. Very engaging and detailed explanation, care to elaborate why for entry level people getting into fashion? What alternatives would you prefer for such a budget? I'd love to hear.

>> No.11926003

>>11925980
What would I need evidence for? You can just go to any H&M store and look at the clothes they sell, all the evidence is right there. Wear whatever you like, I'll just stop responding to you. If even after feeling the material you decided to buy $100 worth of H&M clothing, I don't think we have much to talk about anyway.

delusional. if your entire outfit and wardrobe is h&m then that is an issue, mixing select items from h&m/similar brands with other items is common, who doesn't do that? commonly done by people within the industry and those who have an interest in fashion...can't even believe this needs to be said. i think the last time i bought something from h&m was 2014? but I'll still occasionally take a browse and I won't condemn someone for buying something from them?

like yeah we're on 4chan, you have to be an edgelord and hate everything popular but take it a down a notch.

There's nothing wrong with having a few cheap pieces from H&M to supplement a wardobe. I doubt anyone figures clothes from them will last forever. It's really hard to beat their prices when yr just looking for a quick trendy piece to have fun with.

if you think identifying quality is as easy as reading the brand label or knowing which store an item is from, you truly know nothing about the fashion industry.

a corporation as large as h&m is going to have extremely varied quality because they work with a wide variety of producers and factories. sure, a lot of it will be shit. but a lot of most brands are shit. making a dumbass blanket statement like 'everything from h&m is bad quality' is actually the true mark of a lazy, uninformed person who is not really interested in fashion.

you have to judge garments individually. brand name, country of origin, even to a certain extent material composition (there are high and low quality grades of every material, even materials like polyester that are supposedly "inherently bad") don't really mean nearly as much as holding a garment in your hands and trying it on for yourself.

you're a pleb who drank the entry-level kool aid and you believe you're some kind of gatekeeper. congratulations, you've reached the summit of mt. stupid.

now shut the fuck up and maybe you'll actually learn something.
