Hey there /fa/

I'm looking for nice shoes that fit healthy feet. I know about Vivobarefoot and Otzshoes, now I'd like to get some brands that give me enough room to wiggle my toes and are actually effay.

Soft Star (my personal favorite)
Xero
Lems
Merrell has a few
New Balance Minimus
Primal Professional
Sense of Motion
Altra
Keen
TUNE
Feelmax

Pic related are the Soft Stars I have (also got a pair on black veg-tan). Fantastic shoes from a construction, fit, and materials standpoint, but they're somewhat ugly. That's the price you pay for healthy feet, I guess.

Oh, and Birkenstock works too as long as you don't mind aggressive arch support.
>>11923071
No. See how the toe box tapers inward from both sides? Unless you have excessive amounts of empty shoe in front of your toes, they will get squished and will be unable to splay out properly.

Compare to these Lems. The medial side stays fairly straight to the end of the shoe, while the lateral side flares out significantly before tapering in. This prevents the big toe from being pushed towards the lateral side and the pinky toe from being pushed towards the medial side; in other words, it allows your toes to splay as though you weren't wearing shoes.

Ah, a kindred spirit. Most of those, been eyeing the softstars for long. Will check out Feelmax, TUNE, Keen, Altra, Sense of Motion and NB. I actually have some Primal Professionals and they're too tight around the toes. A shame for the price.

Broad feet =/= fat feet.
Healthy feet are shaped absolutely nothing like your average Western shoe.
I think it's kinda funny that we look back at Chinese foot-binding practices and find them abhorrent, but we're more than happy to shove our feet into ridiculously-shaped, unhealthy shoes every day for the sake of fashion.

Nobody has those feets nowadays besides people who have never worn shoes, and I bet OP is not one of them. So in this case broad feet=fat feet

OP here, you're an idiot. It's not that hard fixing your feet. Sure, they will never be as healthy and muscular as those but wearing stuff akin to most brands discussed itt and walking more consciously with a forefoot strike for a few years can do wonders. My feet are pretty fit, the main difference between yours and mine is that my toes aren't all crammed together and most of my calf and foot muscles are properly developed.

I never said feet like that are common. I think most people in the Western world at least have been routinely fucking up their feet since not long after birth.
If you go from wearing dress shoes all the time to not wearing shoes all the time, your feet will become noticeably wider, and possibly thicker due to the building of muscles that don't get used in heeled, rigid, supportive shoes.
Pic related is my foot :)

My toes are fucked, they're all squished together and have been since I was kid. The podiatrist said as I got older they would correct themselves, but nope.

You gotta wear the right shoes for that to happen and do some foot excercises, your feet will be better in no time. Check out birthdayshoes.com, there are many fashion sins there but also good tutorials and info about how to get healthy feet.

You don't need to be fat to have fallen arches.
