everytime I've seen someone wearing them recently in public they look awful. They have this gross look of rubbers that have been given a polish ie. shiny, shitty, patent leather. If they can be had for as cheap as a pair of converse or vans then go for it, but they truly are the shittiest boots you can buy that any sane person would consider vaguely fashionable.
