I think the cuffed pants make it more interesting than a simple sweater + jeans. The socks also help to keep the outfit consistent- you aren't sending mixed messages by exposing your ankles in sweater weather.

This is too busy, but has potential. Swapping the grey shirt for a black one would smooth out your layering on top. You might be able to keep the striped shirt peeking through, or replace it with something darker.
It's also kind of hard to make out your shoes, but they look like sneakers of some sort. Consider changing them for boots of some sort- either a tall lace up boot that you could tuck your pants into or something chunky like a monkey boot to balance out your layers on top.

get some clompy, shiny chelseas to go with your pants (which are a little tight but look nice with the tuck) and a more interesting jacket - maybe an old-school bomber flight jacket, or something with a similar wool lining. Perhaps an overcoat would look good? Maybe a roll neck jumper instead for a minimal look - it would work with the trousers.

And /fa/ isn't good place for fashion advice for anyone so you are in the right track at least.
People will tell you to go to reddit probably, but for real r/mfa/ might not be a bad place for you depending on your goals. Just don't fall for their memes and don't be afraid to make mistakes and have your own opinions on shit. The main idea in the end no matter how you dress is to regonize what's your body like, your proportions etc. so you can figure out what looks good on you.
For reference can you post 10/10 fit or something you aspire to look like at some point, you get the idea. Might be easier to direct you to some place that can actualy help if you seek advice for real.
