Jeans thread? I recently got a pair of Levi's 513 but the fit is looser than I'm used to as it meets the feet and I'm not sure what kind of footwear to wear with it.

[Tangent on the photogenic quality of OP's image]
it's amazing.
i instantly thought the lighting was too shit to be for anything other than a casual pic (not to mention the models being over 23...) but the posing is just phenomenal. look at the presumed couple on the far right! Chuck's shoe-up, Cho-Chang's grin-sideways-glace. They all look like trained models. Not to mention the direction of their bodies points direction to the center of the image, with Ken and Barbie breaking the pattern slightly and establishing themselves as the main focal point. All their poses coordinate with EACH-OTHER. What the fuck?
Then I remembered lighting theory and aesthetic ageism weren't as prevalent in the 80s/90s and realized these people were probably professionally coached. This is probably literally an ad for jeans. If not this was probably just a fantastic one-in-a-thousand good photo. But wait, non-professional grade cameras were shit back then. So yeah.

different anon, but bro how the fuck? I've struggled with this literally my whole life, I have wide hips, big thighs and calves, and a small waist by comparison. 99% of all the pants I've ever owned that were big enough to fit my lower half (an not be a suffocating tight fit, mind you) needed a belt to stay on my waist or not sag. the one notable exception was a pair of ski pants that were basically overalls.
Am I just shopping for the wrong kind of pants? do I need to buy womens jeans?

same problem, I'm spooky skeleton mode (6ft, 130 lbs) and pants always slide down my waist and sit at the hips (i.e. they sag and ruin the point of buying high-waisted jeans), but if I downsize from 29 to a 28 waist (which some jean brands don't even make) then it doesn't even fit over my hip bones
