Tattoos like that age particularly poorly as they rely heavily on crisp lines to look good. All tattoos blur and fade with time and hence something like that (especially the bottom part) will look like a blob.

I'm hoping to get this early next year. I made it myself (should be somewhat evident). There's a whole meaning and story behind it that I won't bore you with in great detail. In short, I used to live someplace else and I've had to leave for a long time. I'm moving back finally in January and it's going to be rather emotional to be returning home. When I get there I'm gonna get this tattoo, it's a sine wave with increasing harmonic distortion, but it resolves at the last minute. Not sure where to get it yet tho.

Allow me to elaborate then. I was living overseas for about 5 years, and it was the only time and place where my life was going well. I got my masters degree in acoustical engineering and was working as an acoustic engineer. Due to fuckery with government policies they removed my visa options to stay and live in the country. Despite hiring an immigration lawyer and trying everything, I lost my job and had to leave the country, after investing everything in my life there.

This tattoo I had designed BEFORE I left the country. It's harmonic distortion which is relevant to my career but it also ended-up kinda symbolizing the "things going wrong and trying to make it right" thing. But, when my life fell apart, ruining my home, career, and my relationship, I refused to get the the tattoo. So I've been sitting on the design for years. Now that I'm going back finally, I'm gonna finally get it. But not here, there. When I get back.
