I'd rather just get board from company I like or that has riders I like or support local small companies
cause it just doesn't matter at all, kinda like getting skate shoes, if I can get colorway I like for cheap I'll grab them but I will wear the gaudiest shit on my foot if I can find a pair from sale because I mostly care about performance of the shoes, not appearing cool when I skate
