Only thing that seems to help is not washing my hair for a couple of days then it will lay down straight and not wavy, however the second I wash it, it is back to wavy, dry, and thick. Any suggestions? I've tried many coconut masques, deep conditioners, and I regularly use Paul Mitchell Special Tea Trea Shampoo and Conditioner.

My suggestion is to use a professional product intended for curls. Get a conditioning cleanser as a shampoo. You are picking the wrong products for your curls. Pomades and fiber pastes are usually intended for straight to wavy hair to add texture and definition. You have plenty of texture. I would choose a curl-specific styling cream or mousse. Place it into the hair and allow to air dry.
