It took a 3ish months for me to get my period back after getting back up to a BMI of 18. No idea what body fat percentages I was. Now, it probably would have came back more quickly had I gained more weight, but getting up to that weight was hard enough because my stomach was so easily stuffed after restricting for so long.
I wish you the best of luck and encourage you to eat plenty of calorie-dense foods like peanut butter and other yummy things as they will help greatly!!

You don't need to eat at an 800 cal deficit, 500 is probably a better choice than 800 anyways. But yeah, don't push yourself too much, if you feel shitty and miserable you're more likely to give up or make up for calories back snacking/eating too much later.

Being 6'2 and 170, 1,500 calories is probably a good amount for a deficit

To make sure you stick to it just count your calories and portion out your food to spread it over the day and just keep powering through it even if you want to eat more, you adapt to the deficit surprisingly fast, like within 3-4 days usually for me.

But yeah, basically, drink a lot of water or tea or sparkling water or black coffee or w/e, eat slowly etc.

Also another aspect of distracting yourself I find, is you can't distract yourself with things you ate or snacked while you did them. So likely watching TV/movies, maybe playing vidya

As for how much an average workout burns, it depends on the intensity and the length of the workout. Overall though, it won't burn THAT much. Like jogging for an hour only burns 400 calories, so don't go and eat an entire pizza and expect to jog it off. Exercise is mostly for health and so you don't become disgusting and skinnyfat.


But yeah, in summary, you don't have to do an 800 calorie deficit, you don't even have to do a 500 one right away, if you have trouble just work your way down until your stomach shrinks/you can deal with being a bit hungry better.

I have a home gym (Barbell/Dumbbells) that I use. Honestly, lurking /fit/ helps a lot, but don't fall for the leg day everyday meme or SS or gomad. They understand nutrition and I'm grateful for learning all I have about nutrition from them.

I just kinda fuck around with my workouts and do whatever I want, but I'm sure to increase the weights every workout and progress, also pushing yourself is key. I go to failure on my last sets.

Diet varies but it's usually:
Breakfast: Apple OR Fage 0% greek yogurt 110Cal

Lunch: 1 Can Tuna w/old bay seasoning and pepper for taste ( eat straight out of the can ) 180cal

Dinner: Deli Meats out the package 220Cal

No, do keto for a week or two before starting a new exercise regimen. Don't think about counting calories yet either. Just concentrate on sticking to it. Your appetite will go away after a week if you stay strict and keep carbs under 20. Listen to your body and you'll naturally starting eating a huge deficit. Introduce sprinting if you want, but not until you have your diet sorted or you may have trouble sticking to it. And please do more reading about keto and complications, don't rely on 4chan alone.

500 cals recorded today from my dinner and hot cocoa but I got Chinese.
