Well I don't have an afro anymore and I haven't really had any conflict or negative reaction for my hair now. idk what my texture is but for reference pic related is what my hair looks like right out the shower after putting in some conditioner but it usually gets a lot frizzier through out the day depending on how let it dry(airdry,in a bun,etc)

Routine

-Shower

-Drench hair

-use wide tooth comb or fingers to detangle

-put some conditioner in

-either let it airdry, put in braids/bantu knots, or just put it back in a bun.

-at night i either braid it,put it in bun, or two bantu knots (one on each side) then use a durag.

-in the morning i take it out and put a little bit of coconut oil through my hair then wear it out in an afro.

I do the shower/conditioner/detangle part every 3-4 days and in-between just make sure to put my hair up someway at night so it tangles less.

When the fuck have bindis ever been associated with terrorists? Is this a Britbong thing or something? I'm American and it's the headscarves of any kind that will get people weird looks from paranoids. And people who are very plainly Middle Eastern and dressed in traditional garb attract hate from bigots and racists from the culture the garb and physical appearances are associated with, the garments become a symbol.

i think a brother would be better off getting braids or dreads. once you straighten your hair you limit yourself by a lot and its really hard to pull off anyway. ive had my hair straightened in several periods of my life and im much more satisfied with dreads and kinda regret getting my hair straightend the last time only cause it made getting dreads kinda difficult
