Is there any point in being interested in fashion if your facial features are unattractive, have terrible hair, or/and are not a white person? The hostility and judgement seen on here most likely reflects that which is seen in real life the more I think of it.

Pharell is /fa/ af. If you have all of those things together tho, it's probably not with the hassle to try
IMO the most important prerequisites to being /fa/ are being skinny and having good skin. Even ugly people with those two things in their pocket can usually get away with being considered "unconventionally attractive"

lmao dude most of the kids who are prejudiced on here for looks, weight, hairline, etc. are all insecure beta manlet fags. just do you and continue your interest in fashion.

haha exactly

ian connor isn't white is a manlet and has terrible skin and is still a big name in fashion

>> No.11233045

It's like putting sprinkles on shit, it's still shit and everyone knows it's shit, but people will recognize that you went to the effort to try and look good.

>>11232969
those are the reason you should try to be /fa/ to distract from all your other flaws. but if you're short then don't bother cause that will make all your fits look like shit

>> No.11233066

>>11233060
Bullshit. If anything it's more important for short people to pay attention to clothing. You try finding some decent jeans/trouser in a leg under 30". Have to get everything tailored.

You can just appreciate it, look at fashion shows and nice outfits put together by attractive people. Like learning about space flight even though you will never become an astronaut.

Nope, thats bullshit my friend. I'm 189cm (6'2 in ameriburger tongue). Sometimes clothes can fit better if you're a manlet because you "fill out" easier, but generally not really. This is especially true when it comes to more expensive clothing since manlets usually can't afford them. That isn't bro science, it's the truth. If manlets could afford expensive clothing or actually dedicate themselves to dress well all designer clothing would be fit for them. But most people who buy expensive clothing are typically tall and rich. Again being a manlet is the saddest thing you can be. At least you fill out faster if you lift but people will still never look up (literally) to a manlet.

I'm implying that anyone who matters in the actual fashion scene doesn't care about Ian Conner. Caring about the likes of what rappers are wearing doesn't touch actual fashion outside of "look how much my shoes cost". I'm saying there is a qualitative difference between fashion that matters and normcore and streetwear mixed with expensive shoes

>> No.11236098

Judgement/hostility exists regardless if you're into fashion or not. Some of the most fashionable people are ugly af but carry themselves with confidence and style. If you expect it to be easy or receive only praise and admiration you're bound to fail. Learn about the basics (color theory, silhouette, fit etc. ) apply it, then bend the rules where it fits your style. And through this let go of all that insecure bullshit.

it's when you're unattractive that you need to dress up to be noticed
for example: I have a masculine jaw, fair complexion and athletic body, i dress like a 90's bosnian kid and my whole outfit usually costs around 30 euros, but I still score pretty decently. If I were ugly I'd buy all the fashion stuff and try to conform.
