As someone with both STEM and non-STEM degrees, your mileage will vary regardless of your choice in major, but it's very accurate that STEM kids are significantly more likely to get hired out of college.

Also, I find that many traditionally liberal arts graduate programs favor STEM kids. Case in point, I recently talked to some MBA programs about a part time thing (don't judge, I'm bored) and most of them were 3x more interested in my STEM interests than my liberal arts work.

I highly recommend that you do not go to UA. I went there for my first year and transferred to a much better university. Decided to save money and go to UA for a year.

The students are either inner city (EOP) kids that rob other students or LI idiots who spike their hair straight up and rock affliction graphic tees. Also everyone is wearing relaxed fit jeans. As a well off kid from Westchester, I felt very out of place. I met some good people but most ended up transferring out as well. Was accepted to Oxford and I'm going to the accepted students day this Friday. From what I can gather Oxford is treated as an absolutely pathetic joke, my only other option that I can afford it UVM. (Also BC and Fordham but those are about double) thoughts?

World Citizen Party House can be found on fb probably. Also there are randomly shows at UAG (Upstate Artist Guild) on Lark. Pretty much you just meet a critical mass of people and then you'll be set. The indie scene here is actually pretty alright.
