Are Ray-Bans really worth the $150? I've lost or broken sunglasses more than once in the past so I'm hesitant to drop that much. Is the lens quality better, are they more durable, etc.

There's a documentary on youtube about expensive sunglasses. In short, not worth it.

The standard frame ones do have glass lenses and decent poly frames. Both my prescription and sunglasses have lasted a really long time.

I would say it's worth the price. I can tell you the wholesale is around $75.00. I used to work at a sunglass store so if you have more questions I can answer them.

do you know anything about the sunglasses they sell at Urban Outfitters? They're the ones I've bought in the past

I can immediately tell you those are straight plastic pieces of shit. We sold the exact same type in the store in the "cheapies" section. The lenses are usually warped plastic which can cause migraines/headaches. They wont actually protect your eyes from anything because they aren't polarized either.

is there any product that isn't controlled by a shadowy cartel anymore?
