call me whatever you want but i am looking for real advice. i've started to incorporate some cardio into my diet and I'm wondering if it's too sloppy. Pretty much what I do is run/jog/speedwalk on a treadmill until I've burned at least 600 calories. I can do about 600 in an hour (I know this may not sound like a lot but it's what I can do). Should I shoot for more? Should I focus on sprinting or something? 18m 5'11'' 155lbs looking to get to 130 as fast as possible (started at 185) currently eating 1,000-1,200 calories/day (should I restrict more too?)

Now /fa, being full of people who get winded going up a flight of stairs and having absolutely no idea on how to train, would recommend half-assing a bit of running from time to time or some equally boring shit.
Everyone is better than that. If you are going to run mix it up with intervals and tempos to make it more interesting. You could also go swimming if you have the facilities nearby. Excellent low impact, whole body exercise. There are bodyweight exercises that you can do. Yoga, dancing lessons, the list goes on.

At first I did 2 pounds per week, then that was too hard once I got lower in weight so went to 1-lb per week. Now I'm struggling to meet that, but keeping headway. I took a break from dieting hardcore in the middle there, or would have been done by now. But, even during my break I lost weight because I've gotten used to eating less.

I think that's the nice thing about doing the gradual deficit method, that you learn as you go what the proper portion sizes are for you and get pretty constant feedback on how you are doing.

tl;dr sign up for MFP and choose how fast you'd like to lose and it will tell you how much you can eat.

Don't get discouraged, but that won't happen for long, it's probably just water weight. If you can get 2lbs/week while you are really heavy (-1000kcal deficit) you'll be doing good. You might get more than that easily if you are really fat. Once you get below 200 it might be harder to keep up that rate and then you'll do 1.5lb/week, then below 170 maybe 1lb/week. Just trying to keep your goals realistic.

Use MFP and hang in there. You are welcome to stay here, I'm not nearly as thin as some of these anons but find this thread helpful to meeting my goals. It's pretty comfy and there is good banter here and there. I keep it open in a tab on my phone and office to keep me from snacking. These anons are really dedicated and it is kind of contagious.
