This is basically me and my gf rn, except reversed.
Sometimes I wear full rick which she likes, but sometimes I dress not like a dungeon dweller which she likes more.

imho the girl you are dating probably doesn't care too much if you're not wearing all designer, especially if you're in the age range of 19-25 (university student) because you are spending money on uni already. If you're under that, she could be petty and only care about money which would be funny, and if you're under she probably thinks you could spend money on clothing (which I'm assuming you can't because of what you said)

This obviously varies from person to person but for me I dont really care what brands/names my gf is wearing as long as she looks presentable (ie. not a slob)
