The trick to avoiding skin tight is buying models that aren't skin tight more than sizing. level tees aren't all that fitted, and TTS will looks fit a normal shirt. but /JS and /UC are tight so that they stack, and sizing up will make them look too dress like. For that fit I would say go for a medium, but you might find it slipping down a lot throughout the day.

I think it's that "samba" gum sole that I'm way out on. They've never worked with my feet, and I dislike the look of gum soles, that one in particular. The panelling and overall shape I think look too much like indoor soccer shoes. A little bit sporty but also very normal? It's also not a subtle clean shape. Altogether it's very recognizable but I just don't see why I wouldn't instead where something else. In this case, Achilles are incredibly simple and perfectly shaped, quality is on par. The little gold leaf is subtle but adds a touch of character, plus I love how it fades when it ages.
When in doubt I aim for minimalism and subtlety. GATs obviously do that better than most, I just don't care for the design ultimately.

That's what they technically are. Personally the history of the surplus GATs is something that appeals to me as well, though it's the design that I like ultimately.

Definitely, I don't wear any leather soled shoes without taking them to a cobbler first. These are on their secondly cap. Pretty extensive work has been done to it. The zipper tape ripped, got replacements from Guidi (for free, they were very kind about it) as well as the leather backing was replaced since it was practically useless from being folded in and worn down to almost nothing. The currently caps needed to be sewn on as well. They are holding up well for how much abuse they get, definitely much much more than any other shoes I have.

Love the 998's...might have to put rick shoes on hold for a while to get a pair. I went to the rick store today and tried on the superstar ripples. They were okay, but I felt like I'd rather have the old superstars or at least another shoe with the regular basket sole instead. Plus I didn't know what to do with the sock upper because I don't really like to tuck my pants into my shoes, and my jeans were too skinny to look over the shoes. Vicious > tech > springblade

I've seen some really good techrunner fits, but I also think they're some of his most normal looking shoes and they do well in less-Ricky looks.

Not Rick, but I feel like this is probably the best place to ask. Is there any substantial difference between the different types of Guidi reverse leathers?

Hey Nahk, did you have to pay an import tax or duties on this order? Thinking of ordering fron Seven soon and just wanted to know what your shipping experience was like.

>> No.11006504

>>11006479
I ordered Rick from seven a while back, no import fees. The only downside is that shipping takes a pretty long time (2 or 3 weeks)

>> No.11006589

>>11006479

I've ordered from Seven 4 times now and never had to pay customs. I'm in NA fwiw.
Shipping this time did take three weeks, but previous orders were much quicker. No idea why. Seven is cool. I really wish he carried a wider selection, but it's just the one dude I think.

Am I right in thinking that there are different material options for the silk scarf blazer?
I felt one on Saturday and the body was really rough/dull/stiff and the scarf was scratchy
Not sure if it was a cheaper version of it but the price was still ~£1k
Something of a grail piece for me and I hope it was just a variant

Why can you never find the rick soft leather gloves in black? yoox have them in pearl/coco/blood and all sorts of colours - I guess black is just sort after.

Say I bought the pearl ones, feasibility in dying them black? though I quite like pearl aswell if im honest

Dying leather without it being stiff and crackly is iffy, Especially for something soft like glove leather. I wouldn't do it.

rick sleeves should end around your knuckles, not extending past your fingers.
