Alright /fa/. I just copped a new phone for Christmas. It is a Galaxy S5, but I need advice on how to make it [interface] more minimalistic and less of an eyesore. Do you guys have advice on what things to install in order for it to look and feel nicer in general?

I used to have an S5 like a year or two ago before i got the 1+

it was pretty minimal as is don't fuck with icon packs just uninstall shit and delete shortcuts off the screens

half of the shit on their is akin to the old rainmeter nonsense

it's not really minmalistic it's the opposite and it's just fancy looking useless eyedetracting battery draining bullshit

100% agreed. Ricing out a phone is like what people used to do with their desktops - masturbatory nonsense designed only to look cool.

Like how lots of people on /g/ would have CPU load percentages (or equivalent) on their desktop as if somehow they were gonna sit there and monitor it.

I third nova. Theres lots of stuff you can do with it. The main though is making sure your phone is still practical after doing it.
