Is H&M shit tier or is it okay? I know I hate everyone that works there, thats for damn sure

>> No.10677018

This has been discussed millions of times on here, most effay has an undying hate boner for h&m for some reason. You can come across some good shit there though, especially basics and some pants

the more i get involved with "fashion" the less i buy from h&m, at one point you realize it's shit, so yes, as someone who used to buy a lot of H&M, it's shit tier. Only good for basics and some jeans.

But are they shit quality? Because they look shit quality. Especially the sweaters Ive seen in there.

it won't fall apart, but the materials aren't that great and yeah it's cheap quality

Its hit or miss honestly almost like thrifting or something. Ive personally never had a problem there. I got a pair of $30 dollar pants from there 2 yrs ago and theyre still one of my favorite pairs, i like them just as much as designer pants i own. They also have some good flannels and dress shirts for cheap. Just dont dip into the imitation streetwear shit they have, its pretty wack

h&m isn't that bad but don't buy shit like this:
http://www.hm.com/us/product/38066?article=38066-A
http://www.hm.com/us/product/19407?article=19407-C

Don't buy anything with a print and that's it, shirts from H&M have a good fit tho, so you can't go wrong with them but the quality isn't that great
Surprsingly jeans from H&M aren't bad at all
DON'T BUY SHOES there tho, never ever.

just don't buy anything with prints or sayings or dumb shit like that and wait for sales, they'll start around christmas

>> No.10677076

h&m is fine you just have to know whats shitty and what isnt. lots of the tricky ricky ripoff stuff from the divided line is great and lots is not, you've just gotta try on stuff you think looks cool and decide for yourself. as far as quality goes, its not the best (obviously), but following the washing instructions has kept everything i've bought just fine for at least a year, usually more.

tldr decide for yourself god damn is it really that hard

Hey are you from illinois?? I work at one out here and the majority of the clothes are shitty, but the basics they consistently put effort into. If you're looking for statement pieces, then try elsewhere, unless you buy from the trend line which is only sold in select stores and online. (which is also hit or miss)

why would you consider buying their shoes? I mean, half of them are on hangers? Who buys shoes on hangers?

Every time I shop there, that's the one place I never bother to even step into. Not just because their designs are just cheap knockoffs but they are pretty shit quality. Not even worth it's price.

That being said, I like their shirts. Their t-shirts are like what? 5.99-7.99 USD? And they're pretty good. I have several that have lasted me years. They fit well and are good basics. And like what anon said, their jeans aren't bad either. If I want cheap jeans I usually just stick to the tried and tested Levi's (510's usually since 511's and 514's seemed to be a little looser now). The last time I went into an H&M, their jeans were surprisingly decent. Particularly for the price.

The pants/jeans are alright.

The blazers/suits have rly low armholes, I hate that shit. Also too much shoulder padding. Both signs of cheap retail suiting. In a pinch tho, and for <$200, u could get a suit if u rly needed one.

I hate the fit of their basics, huge collars and weird fit overall.

They DO make XS in some items.

Pic is a leather jacquette from this season, 34R i'm 5'7 130lb so it's hard to find something that'll fit tight/small on me, which is the look i want

I like H&M over other mall brands because it isn't so pretentious with branding

American Eagle, Abercrombie, all those other homogeneous brands are about the same quality yet charge double and are guilty of horrendous branding

H&M isn't a badge of belonging to some middle white American upbringing like Hollister or Hurley. it's just the epitome of what fast fashion should consist of--serviceable quality basics and cheap trendy clothes that allow financially compromised people to take risks with their wardrobes and experiment

of course there's the whole human rights part but hey my life is built on far worse cruelties than a sweatshop in Bangladesh
