also I saw a very basic looking mid 30s man at the eames exhibition the other weekend, wearing basic forrest gump nikes, saggy pre washed denim, a basic red check shirt and what looked to be a dadcore beige harrington or m65. On closer inspection I saw some tonal embroidery on the shoulders and centre back - shit was fucking fav empt, hd one of the dope older style arm patches (not the rubber one), I felt kinda conflicted but it just seemed super chill over-all. So I guess what I'm saying is this guy managed to work CE into a very basic, socially normal looking fit

yes it does. maybe more stuff from the Y's label, I've had shirts that are very applicable to an office setting, buy jackets a size smaller so they don't have the oversized look, buy pants from another brand.

that's not what I'm saying at all, I was more saying that you can transpose the same logic to an office setting - this guy was able to wear a usually very standout brand in a very subtle way. and I wasn't saying his other clothes WERE cheap, more that I assumed they were because of his age and the combination being basic dad-at-a-barbecue fare, in fact after I noticed the jacket, it seemed pretty likely the jeans were wtaps or the shirt Neighborhood

Yeah, I got that. So what I'm saying is purely anecdotal and was for you to use as you will. I was trying to give an example (not suit based I know) of how you can incorporate one of the brands you like into an outfit or vibe that is really not what you'd think. >>10605248 this post was also me, so this is my suggestion to you. or look into more standard luxury suiting brands and really go hard with it, get one tailored. Then get some cool outerwear from a more avant garde brand - you will only be wearing it outside the office so they can't complain, you can totally splurge on it and outerwear's the best kind of clothing anyway
