How is sizing for MA_Julius jeans supposed to work? I'm a true 30 waist, and I bought a pair in size 2 a little while ago but they're 32" and too big. However all the size 1's I see for sale claim to be 29" and I'm afraid they would fit small.

You’ll also see men who are desperate to keep their edge; they’re “dressed by the internet,” in crowded ensembles that are designed to be reblogged.

Saw my male, teenaged cousin wearing a shirt. It's similar to this except it wasn't a blouse and the lines weren't quite as thick but were close. I honestly thought it was a female shirt but he seems to like it.

I recently started to give a shit and I've lost about 25 lbs so far. (Started at 190 now at 165, 6' tall)
I've held back on buying new clothes until I'm thin/fit enough to actually look good in them. The problem is that I've had really large legs my entire life and while my waist is ~30'' my hips are rather womanly (~36''). Am I completely fucked or will this go away as I continue to lose more weight? (also, as a rule of thumb, should my waist always be the widest point of my legs or will hips always be bigger?) Probably going to hold off on the new clothes until I reach ~150 but advice would still be helpful on how to deal with the hips issue.

So how do I go about learning what is and isn't a good fit? It just feels like there's so many variables as to why something would or wouldn't be a good fit.
obviously there are some core mechanics to it, such as the fit, color scheme, etc. but how do I come to my own conclusion of why a fit is good or is say, too busy, boring, and so on?
for example, this pic displays some basic fits and explains why they work well. I've tried looking around for good fits but I live in a shit town where everyone wears diamond supply shit or is a lumbersexual hipster with a man bun.

while the outfits are boring, they are inoffensive and look nice, and explain why.
That's what i'm looking for. I can look at the outfits that are displayed in the picture and see clearly why it's a good outfit. As someone who's very new to taking actual consideration into how I dress, it's difficult to determine what's a good outfit. Does that outfit look like shit on them because it doesn't fit them(be it actual fit of the clothing or on their body type), or is it just a bad outfit? There are a lot of things from what i'm learning that make or break the outfit, the most minor details can seem to make one look like shit.

>> No.10618289

>>10618204
yeah they're inoffensive to the public, and one can safely wear them in any situation. for someone who doesn't care about dress that would be a nice guide to not look like shit.

however its offensive to fashion as a hobby, there's no fun in buying that stuff and wearing it. there's nothing to incorporate, style and experiment with.

>> No.10618323

>>10618289
You're absolutely right. These outfits are nothing special, but I still keep asking for this point that I receive no answer for.
How do I, personally, decipher what is and isn't a good outfit? That image was only for an example for what I was talking about earlier, in which the picture explains why the outfits look nice. I'm interested in taking fashion up as a hobby, but the amount of subjectivity is formidable for someone who has never previously taken fashion seriously.
So how do I, as someone who hasn't ever been into the concept of fashion, begin to learn what is necessary to understand and generate my own unique and good outfits?

hmm, I would start by finding some designers and an aesthetic that you like. check out some menswear runway shows from those designers.

http://www.firstview.com/collection_results.php?s_g=Men&b=date&clear=1#.VkuQz7_QOeI

I for example really like minimalist dark shit with clean lines, or an oversized fit with technical fabrics. I like shows from Helmut Lang, Alexandre Plokhov, Alexander Wang, Philip Lim.

there are a lot of other designers shows that I like a lot, and you'll learn to appreciate a cool piece of clothing more once you get into the consuming side of the hobby. lurk grailed and check out some deals you see, it's really fun to get a bargain and expand your wardrobe. once you start having fun buying and wearing shit, looking and feeling more confident you'll get more into the hobby.

>> No.10618415

>>10594256
Yeah don't. Roshe's aren't even fa. I'm guessing you're going for tech wear style but seriously don't start there, you'll grow out of it. And if your not going for that style, they look just as bad with almost anything else. Just steer clear my friend. Save up some more and buy something you can be proud of

It's kind of hard to guide without actually seeing but I guess just don't buy skin tight; when you pull the seam tight on one side you should aim to have a gap of about 1-2 inches between your leg and the seam (hopefully that makes sense).

You can always post a photo of you wearing something here before you buy it
