What's /fa/'s opinion on retro camo? I'm mostly interested in flecktarn/alpenflage. Is there a technical name for this kind of militaristic look? Is it just called militaria?

I like the idea and it's obvious the strichtarn stand for East-Germany. But they should've gone for something actually distinct for West Germany instead of something so inherently tied to the already reunited Germany.

You can;t just pluck them out of the air you know, you need the pattern to get them printing and militaries are surprisingly cagey with those. Then of course the actual production. The karstparka is a copy of the fleckparka design for example.

That's not the point. Once you would mass produce them, they wouldn't be rare anymore and would indeed just be up for plucking. Anybody with access to your webstore could obtain one if they had the money.

Having a "rare" camo mass produced is a contradictio in terminis.
