Acne Studios is the sort of brand where if you just market your fast fashion brand as a design conscious quality minded brand people who don't know any better

there is so much noise within the fashion industry mass markets that most of the consumers today are totally lost and you have your average consumer stating things like

"what does a classic fashion house offer me that i can't get from forever 21?"

Nothing wrong with the people, it's just flashy shiny gimmicks are cooler and attract more money than traditionally well designed items with with functionality, longevity, fit, finishing and material sciences at the forefront of their work.

Acne Studios is an example of flash

Acne pays the most attention to marketing, flash and design layout of the store.

as well as a nice unboxing and shopping experience.

however all that is made to detract you from what you're actually putting on

a made in china fast fashion piece with machine stitching only

Kek. If I want shitty garments Id rather shop from hm and Zara for 1/4 of the price.

Acne consists mostly of basics right? I feel like if someone is wearing acne their ego is inflated but really nobody notices that they are wearing high end clothing...

Pretty much this. They make a couple of nice classic coats, leathers and jeans with appalling quality for the price, and everything else is trendy, fast fashion shit at designer prices. They have a loyal following because they offer massive discounts and pretend it's on the down low. Even at the discounted price, it's a little expensive for the quality, but it works if the fit is right.

If talking about their current season, disregard everything positive I just said. The aesthetic is terrible and deserves to die in a corner with techwear and shit sneakers.

i think it's mid-tier quality, but higher tier designs. You couldn't argue that the design is like fast fashion, surely?

Sweat from my balls tier.

>> No.10568963

>>10568877
You can. High tier design houses have a consistent style that they adjust to fit current trends (if the designer cares about trends at all). Think of design houses like artists. A lot of successful artists have very distinct styles (like CDG or Ann D) that they stay faithful to.
Fast fashion is all about what's "trendy" and is derivative of other successful styles. Acne falls under fast fashion design. Just look at their recent collections.

been off /fa/ for awhile, what's being filtered now?

>> No.10569090

Only buy jeans from Acne, honestly. The quality is w/e and really not worth the full price, but the cuts and fit are good, and I've yet to find jeans that I like more.

Everything else is shit, though.

as a skelly their clothes fit me really well and I really enjoy some of the prints and the general look of the clothes

/fa/ will automatically hate anything too popular, so this discussion won't really get anywhere

as someone who's bought a couple of items through the years I can tell you that the quality is very nice for what you pay, not uniqlo good but few things are

jeans are definitely my favorites, but jackets and t-shirts are nice too
