Ok so i was using the cantu shea butter leave in moisturiser today and while coming my hair this happended. Why did i lose so much hair? is this common? and why doesen't my hair absorb the moisturiser, is my hair too thick? i have 4c hair

I live in the UK and we don't have that Shea Moisture brand that everyone raves about.

Anyone know of any good alternatives for shampoo and conditioner and shit. I just use generic ass white people shit at the moment and I need to get some proper stuff.

I've got little mini dreads in my hair from the sponge if that's significant.

I've never heard of anybody burning their scalp while getting dreads. Considering that you don't really have standard afro-textured hair, it'll be more difficult for you to get started. However, there's no reason for you use chemicals at all, and the ones that you could use probably won't burn you. As for baldness, a bit of searching found that if your dreads are too tight, the strain can make them fall out, but that can probably be avoided.

all this inspo is great but it doesn't mean much without the right products to maintain a style

what are some good conditioners, leave-ins or curl definers for black hair? I'm trying to stay away from gels, but my hair looks so good when it's wet and it's really upsetting to have it look a mess once it's dry. too many oils just make my hair greasy, but still dry and frizzy (so the loc/lco method has never worked for me)
