The ones I wear are American Apparel light stonewash, a pair of patchy Levi's 501s, and black uniqlo slim selvedge. They all get me by, and I like the fits for all of them.

In short, yes. They have a high waist and they're a bit baggy in the wrong places, but if you size down and shrink them they may be okay for you. That's what worked for me

I was considering getting a pair over the summer; instead I went with a pair of Naked & Famous.

My line of thinking was this:

I'd NEVER buy a pair of "Denizen by Levis" from target OVER an actual pair of mainline Levis.

That's what you're doing at a higher level with unbranded / N&F.
I'd imagine you're still buying something which is quite a bit of an upgrade over a pair of standard levis, but the quality / cut aren't going to be on par with mainline N&F.

obviously we've been drifting from skinny jeans for a while now, and all the inspo threads are into baggier fits but I cannot for the life of me move away from them. they go so well with everything, and my legs aren't good enough to pull of anything looser than slim fit at most

I've seen N&F jeans drop to the Unbranded price level at times on Amazon

Best are prob the N&F midnight because of nice fades and I like the taper on it.
Second are momos because of the detail, but they haven't broken in yet to get fades. Ive prob been wearing it for 1 month time total or more.

My biggest regret with them though is that they are all kinda low rise. N&F are naturally low rise cuts but the momo was a special low rise version and it looks bad for someone who is shorter imo.
Also the momos are straight leg so it doesnt accentuate my calves and kinda flops around at the end of my leg.
Ill probably get them tapered after it fades a little and I wash them.
I want wool trousers, but for jeans I'd prob want something like Self-edge or Oni or pure blue japan for that unique slubbiness. Problem though is that some of the pure blue jeans that I want are in that midnight color that I already have. I dont want to stack up on same color jeans.

Saturday surf jeans are surprisingly excellent. Probably second favorite under the APC.

Naked and Famous fits suck. The super skinny guy is baggy in weird places and the leg openings on that and the Paul Rose are huge. The Paul Rose inseam shrunk more than I expected so it's a really goofy fit. Both are low rise, which I finally realize I despise.

All of them look pretty damn good and overall very satisfied with purchases. Lots of compliments.

Some people swear by naked and famous but I've never found their cuts skinny enough in the calf. Best bet is honestly to just measure yourself and look at all the measurements on blue in green or rawrdenim

Do you need more room around the thigh area or are you looking for a more tapered fit past the knees (carrot shape as opposed to cigarette)? Naked and Famous Weird Guy is exactly that.

yeah I would agree with the other gentlemen, I copped the 101s about a month ago and the fit isn't 100% what I would like. "good for the money" doesn't really hold when you can get the main brand at a discount.

Some of them are great. Pre washed and pre distressed - fire, if you know how to jap streetwear. Also, remember - everything is mfa tier.
