spray some water in your hair using a spray bottle so that your hair becomes a little damp, but not too wet. then apply oil/water combination using a spray bottle, and then put on a leave-in conditioner. wait a minute between each step. You can do this every other day.

and make sure whenever you comb or pick out your hair, you do it when it's a little damp.

Finger picking. How coarse is your hair? It's quite easy for me because I have quite tough hair, it's just not long enough to look good which is why I gave up the dream.
Basically start by keeping your hair in two strand twists(overnight) and then use your fingers to undo the strands, don't be rough and don't drag your fingers through your hair or anything. Also moisturize while it's in its twist form by applying the product directly on your scalp.
