Viberg Service Boot alternatives, please.

Requesting low profile boots, unstructured toes, shit like these but that don't cost $800.

I found Santalum boots and theyre a contender, but they are in Indonesia and haven't answered a single email yet.

Help a /fa/gget out.

Thursday Boots Co make slimmer profile ankle boots for $200. Not as sleek and pointy as Viberg but quite a bit sleeker than Red Wing, Wolverine, Chippewa etc.

You are posting different boots. The first 3 are the Viberg x 3sixteen Coffee Chromepak Service Boots, and the 4th one is clearly different (black tongue)

>> No.10477647

>>10477525
Also, the Vibergs are basically impossible to find. They sold out quickly, won't be restocked, and were scalped for 900+ even though they retailed for $700. I'm >>10477642 btw, and I've been looking for a pair for a month now.

>> No.10477688

>>10477647
Not OP, but the fourth boot is the even older Viberg x 3sixteen Olive Chromepack collab.

>>10477647
"Selling out immediately" is only true of models made with cordovan or other coveted/fetishized leathers. If you had the money right now you could easily find a new pair of Vibergs through the main site without even checking obscure stockists.

As for after market inflation, you're just plain wrong. The resales of the most sought after model (Brandy shell) still sold for under retail. Keep in mind there were fewer than 20 of these made. Not cheap, but far from scalping.

Santalum is not a terrible alternative considering you get an MTO exactly to your specifications... within their options.
If part of the reason you like Viberg is because of the unique and high quality leathers, Santalum won't come close to scratching that itch. But if you just want a slim toe-box, Santalum will do the trick.

Be aware of
-long wait times
-language barriers
-possible messed up orders/sizing issues

i love their vibe and their product but $7-800 is a big commitment. I feel like santalums are a good jump-point for me and then once I discover what I want/need from a boot, the vibergs would then make more sense.
