Who's telling you that Gustin shoes use miserable leather? They are rather new.

CP isn't exactly known for their great leather (check r/GYW). Traditional dress shoe makers do not use Nappa leather.
Most sneaker owners do not know how to spot good leather or care for it (24h resting & shoetrees & conditioning). So most sneakers look like shit after a year.

the funny part is that i would argue the same reasoning with a different conclusion. after owning cps, i would much rather spend $300 on a single pair of shoes over four $75 pairs over the course of four years

you wouldn't be able to use such a soft leather w/o any padding. if you want just leather you have to look at buttero's: way harder and thicker leather needed.

Prolly aren't, same cheap CP copy from some random asian sweatshop.
Seem to have copied more CP details like going for a fake Margom sole. Prolly won't last very long if you blindly copy a designer outer sole instead of going for a generic one. Not a true leather lining but some mix.

For 140€ i would go for those all-white Stan Smiths or some 70€ all-white Jack Purcell Signatures instead, Adidas/Converse are at least your typical low-tier quality. not shit-tier fakes.

Gustin isn't that interesting in Europe, you have to pay for international shipping, duties and taxes.

For Germany the cost would be:
$149 (shoe) +$30 (shipping) = $179
in Euros:
$179 = 158.67€
duties:
158.67€ * 1.08 (over 150€, so 8% duty on leather shoes applies) = 171.3636€
taxes:
171.3636€ * 1.19 (19% VAT) = 203.922684€

CP is 325€ with free shipping/returns, so just 121€ ($136.55) more and you don't have to wait 5 months till Gustin ships them, and don't have to collect your shipment from the custom office. But the biggest advantage would be getting the size that fits you for sure: you can't return Gustin's.

not OP but i want to thank you for posting these. i always liked how CPs looked, but i have big ass feet, and like most designer shoes CPs only run up to 13 US. depending on the shoe, i'm a 14 or a 15. it says CPs run a size large, but i think they'd still be too small if i ordered 13s. these come up to 15, so my goofy ass feet will fit into them.
i've heard CPs run narrow. is it the same for these? in addition to having super long feet, i also have collapsed arches, which means flat feet, which means wide feet.
