Does anyone here use pomade? Will my hair making contact with my skin cause breakouts?

Lol like not permanently but if you wear it you have to wear it all the time or let your hair adjust to being without it for a few days/ weeks

the surfactant in that stuff is nasty

It does smell really nice

i see. i use a heavier pomade that has beeswax in it. it's more or less Hair wax but with a pomade finish, i'm not too sure if it has that ingredient though.

o ok u scared me. uhhhh i hear cool grease is gr8, used by g easy and the singer of savages, both have cool hair. water soluble too so that's a bonus. but if you have that yung leo hair in your face all day with product, you might get some breakouts from an increase of oil on your face.

My first experience with pomade was with pic related. The red Reuzel is water based so it has a less chance of causing breakouts.

Have been using pomade for more than a decade.

Cheap pomade (Murrays, St Georgia etc) will have a higher probability to cause them. Generally speaking its oil based that will cause them. Just clean you forehead before you go to sleep and wash your face.

Or use a water based pomade and have hardly any of the problems. People say that pomade is bad have no clue what they are talking about. You simply shouldnt rub the shit into your sculp.

You have no idea what youre talking about and very likely base you 'knowledge' (which you lack) on experience with cheap products. Congratulations my black friend, cheap products often are sub par quality.

Penhaligon's Bayolea is the best. Expensive as balls but it smells amazing and has that really heavy, yet non sticky feel

Suavicito Brilliantcreme is where it's at. Hold without seeming wet or clumping together.
