More than likely they'll just break the bike and steal the lock.
In a way this is probably one of the most clever things Supreme has released.

i really don't understand supreme. it just looks like any other streetwear or skater brand except all its clothes are far more expensive. bright colours and graphic print is not fashionable unless youre 16

legit improvement.

streetwear walking billboardism baffles me.

i get that 90% of the "look" is advertising exclusivity. but it's still never going to make sense.

then again, i louis vuitton does it. RL and Hilfigersbuilt empires on it.

the masses are funny fucking animals.

supreme has plenty of clothes with subtle/no branding with "the look"

those pieces are often heavily based off 90s rl and Tommy pieces which is why you noticed a similarity in the branding

A good example of a similar type of supreme piece (90s rl inspired) with lesser branding: supreme paneled parka

>> No.10310677

>>10310642
right i need to just get this out there for a minute. Thinking something is ugly for the sole reason of it looking like something else makes you a narrow minded faggot. It really bothers me how someone can just be like, oh white shoes you look like a nurse. ozweegos, wow toy shoes, longer than normal coat, oh wow a streaker
>lol r u nekkid under there anon

literally its just a rain mac, like only a couple inches longer than a normal fucking coat.

look at a piece like youve never seen clothes before and then you can really see whether is a good looking piece, and ofc with it alongside others in a complete outfits. thats another problem with normies, fuckers look at something like its the only thing they are gonna wear, dont get something if it doesnt go with anything or you dont know what to put it with, just because it looks nice alone doesnt mean itll look good with other shit.

>if you use this one fuccbois will try to steal the lock instead of the actual thing that needs to be protected

I get your point anon
But the problem is that fashion is communication and nonverbal communication is accomplished through associations and signs.
In the case of that supreme piece you can't help but think of sheep and that is just natural and totaly ok, as always total strangers will judge you based on your clothing and then the sheep associations kick in

I propose to dress acccording to your own personal sign and gestures of self-expressions, maybe unusual combination of signs
or like you said simply not giving a shit

it's actually interesting conceptually, and therefore the best thing i've seen from them. especially if they make it super limited. like 10.

on the first level: the lock becomes more desirable than the object it's protecting. locks are usually cut to get to bikes, and this challenges people to cut bike frames to get the lock.

on the next level, it comments on the whole hypebeast industry: a utilitarian object is too expensive to be used for its expressed purpose. as seen esp. with shoes. also wider commentary on high fashion; it suffers the same contradiction (i really want to wear this, but it's too valuable for me to damage) for everyone but the most wealthy.

if a lock is stolen while in use, the absurdity doubles. a lock without a key is useless, yet this one would still hold value.

in short, it's the only supreme piece i'd ever buy.

I bought a white striped beanie online today, I'm kind of thinking Supreme makes the stupidest shit to get all the hype beasts to buy their shit and have other certain items for casual buyers

>> No.10312576

So anyone else get what they wanted in todays drop?

I wanted the windbreaker like most people, but after the website crashed (even though it was in my cart when the website came back up) I wasnt able to cop.

Then I went straight for another jacket I was going for (which I probably bought a size too big tbh) and managed to order it (with possibly the wrong address)

Then after my first order I went back and put in another order for the crowbar, just because why not?

Whilst I did get charged for shipping twice for both orders, I could make my money back easily if I felt like it, but Im sure I wont be wanting to get rid of the crow-bar.

This was my first time going for Supreme on its first drop, but now that I understand how it works, probably wont have trouble next time around.

>> No.10312606

Is the point of that lock to make niggers steal the lock leaving the bike safe?

okay i know you're being twelve and having a laugh with your fellow /pol/ simpletons

but Bike thieves and homeless people of any race aren't going to recognize or give a shit about that bike lock and will have no idea what it is and just move on to the least secure bike

but hey, here's a brand you don't understand, so "lol niggers" right? Got em. Great post.
