i own a pair of both. i dont think you can go wrong with either, but i will give my subjective personal opinion:

1. I like the sole on the beckman better. the beckman is notiecably lighter weight as well, and i think the leather (featherstone) seems to be of slightly better quality than that on the iron ranger.

2. I like the speed hook lacing on the iron ranger better. I like the cap toe design and think the iron ranger is less dressy, if that matters. i think they are both similar in terms of comfort.

not really, i mean you can easily wear them with jeans and a t shirt. they look good with raw denim and what not. i guess its just personal preference, but i tend to prefer the "oiled leather" look , and the beckmans have more of the shiney, "polished" leather look.
