Didn't see a backpack thread so I thought I'd start one. Can anyone rec a simple, clean backpack like pic related? Preferably a well-made one, I've heard these aren't too sturdy. Also just general backpack stuff, post contents of your backpack, stuff you should always have in your pack, etc.

i like the kanken's look too; here's a pangea bag that's really similar, but minus that large disc of fjallraven branding. unfortunately the pangea backpack totes only come in one small size.

Kanken is pretty fuckin durable dude idk what fuccboi told you they aren't, I've had mine sitting in 100+ degree heat, in the rain, in the dirt, on dusty filthy floors, kicked it around threw it and excessively pulled on the straps because I'm a big guy and the backpack was smaller than I thought.

Point is that if I hose it down with water it'll look brand fuckin new.

Do keep in mind if you're relatively in shape it'll look small on you and as far as space in the backpack goes its also pretty small, but otherwise its fucking fantastic having my $200 books stay dry when it rains

You can cop whatever you want, but in my opinion, the Kanken looks kind of girly.
It's a sturdy bag though, but check out some of Fjallraven's other bags and stuff while you're there. Really cool and beautiful items.
I've got a Greenland Special Edition jacket and it is really wonderful.

I will back this up.
I've used the Kanken's regular one, and the 15inch and the max.
All great backpacks that have good quality.
The regular one is way too small too be used as anything other than a "vacation bag".
Carrying small things like a charger, a bottle of water, sunglasses, a spare jacket, etc.

The quality of Everlane's backpacks is better than I expected. It's like a thick canvas.

I got this in the mail last week and now I'm thinking of returning it for the new modern snap backpack. it's a little more urban looking.

I have this bag from Blind Chic.
It's dope.
Waxed canvas is durable, it's huge, and it's clean looking. I bought it for cycling and it's pretty perfect. The only complaint I have is the outer pockets are rather flat so they keep the slim profile but don't fit much.

>> No.10234889

>>10233681
I don't get why people like that bag so much. There are literally hundreds of bags that look just like that, don't cost an arm, and are about as durable. It's especially surprising considering Fjallraven is a high end outdoor brand, how the hell did people end up buying that stuff casually? It's just like Arcteryx jackets, they're designed to climb the Himalayas, but fags wear them in the bus.

It's even more surprising when you realize Fjallraven makes the best jackets, and Arcteryx makes the best backpacks. It's like people enjoy doing things the other way around.

People don't know shit and just buy for the hype. I guess Fjallraven's bag hype come from the very loud and big logo. Canada Goose/North Pole/Arcteryx hype must come from movies imo. Idk, I'm just guessing.

What do you guys think of getting a kanken and removing the logo? Like replacing it with a patch? I mean, pretend we have no bias towards brand or the social groups that enjoy this backpack. If it was made "original" by you with a patch or mod of some kind, how would you feel about the shape and quality of the bag itself?
