If you're looking to emulate film accurately, as a photographer myself I can tell you that's a savage fucking can of worms. VSCO film for Adobe Lightroom is pretty cool if you want to check that out, not really all to sure how well it would work for non-raw images not from your camera and you'd have to put some work in to get it right.

If you're just talking about grain though, that's fairly straightforward. just use the lightroom grain function.

there's no single way to emulate this entire aesthetic but you can add grain with filter>noise
the trick is the be subtle

if I was to go off the top of my head to make a picture look like this, i'd do it like this

>cut out figures with pen tool carefully
>copy them to new layer
>duplicate background layer, gausian blur it slightly
>fade the floor out with layer mask + gradient so the closer floor reveals the unblurred layer beneath
>flatten
>add noise
>make new layer, fill it with slightly orange yellow
>set layer style to overlay or maybe linear dodge
>set it to low opacity, 3 or 4% just to get that slightly yellowish old film look
done
