Does anyone know of a higher quality alternative to the MQ23-1e? I love the look of this watch but I want something that's going to last a bit longer. Preferably something that looks as close to this as possible.

This is my current watch and I'm looking for a similar model but with a better build quality. It was pretty cheap and though I like it, it got a bit beat up, with the chrome coming off and scratches on the glass. So I'm looking into replacing it sometime in the future.

saw this watch on amazon. I could not take the leap and buy that shit. no fucking light, not even any lume on the hands and not even mineral glass and no metal case makes this such a bad deal. the design would be great for an analog-digital watch otherwise. but it's an old model.
they released a slightly newer version but it was all black plastic and had numbers instead of sticks. looked awful. there are no square ana-digi watches I came across otherwise. but casio does have some nice analog-digitals if you're willing to pay at least 150 bucks.

Watches are already getting enormous, why do you want to ruin whatever few reasonably sized watches you can still find? 38mm for a dressy watch is a pretty reasonable medium size, I wouldn't call it small.

Why don't you look at the SARX015, that's 40mm if I remember right and it's a more casual style to go with the larger size.

I have a Cartier Tank that I received as a graduation present over a decade ago, but I gifted it to my wife after not having worn it for over 8 years.

I went with the Seagull 816.362 hi-beat instead of a SARB. 40mm, and less common than the Seikos.

$228, BP Factory, chink clone of ETA 2836, acrylic crystal, I assume the bracelet is as cheap and folded-linked as the real thing.

Cop or not? It would be my first fake watch so I'm a little iffy about it. I like the ref. 1675 specifically though and I don't really like any of the GMT-Master homages I've found.

The date is fine, I guess it was changing over in the photo. It has the date and the day in Spanish.

I actually didn't buy it, it was my dad's but he hasn't worn it in years so I promised to fix it up and wear it. It's in pretty good shape cosmetically and it's running perfectly but I'm still going to get it serviced and get the crystal polished up a bit just because it's long overdue for a service. I'm actually going to send it to a friendly anon from the /g/ watch threads who is a watchmaker in training.

I actually don't like the seagull as much as I thought I would and I wear it pretty rarely. It's a pretty watch and the mechanical chrono movement is cool but I might end up selling it I guess.

I didn't get much of a response in /g/ so I guess I'll ask here. The crystal on the white watch is a mineral crystal and the glass itself seems to be fine, but it has an AR coating on it which is in pretty bad shape and it looks hazy from certain angles. I have some polywatch and a cape cod cloth coming in the mail, should I try to use either of these to strip off the coating or should I just leave it alone? It seems possible to do that with good results on AR coated sapphire, but it seems like AR coated mineral crystals aren't as common and I'm worried I could scratch the shit out of the crystal or something like that.

The SBCJ* series is the GMT Alpinists. They're definitely more rare, and use the HEQ 8F56 movement, which is fucking awesome. Even used SBCJ* watches will run you well beyond $500 (NOS is $1000+).
