I'm going to assume that you wear rick fits,
do you wear the same/similar things everyday? do you cop pieces seasonally? do you wear other designers with rick shit?

I guess the you is a general you towards people who wear rick, as I'm thinking of getting into that since I really enjoy his work but I don't quite know if it's worth the investment just yet

I wear rick most days
today I wore reverse geos, a double layer tee and some random jeans - yesterday I wore swinger shorts, one-size tank and geos

>do you wear the same/similar things everyday?
yes - I rotate between max 3 pairs of shoes, usually wear one of 5 tops and cargos, skinny jeans or swinger shorts

>do you cop pieces seasonally
I tend to pick up something each season but its not like I buy loads at once usually a t-shirt here and something big I plan for

>do you wear other designers with rick shit?
yes - I wear a raeburn coat loads with rick and sometimes a Y's cardigan I own

>> No.10111660

Did that guy ever buy those tan ramones? I legit want to see a fit pic because im intruiged and kinda want to get them aswell

>> No.10111815

What are some nice cheap rick pants? Ricks denim is cheap used but if I wanted normal jeans I'd get something else. Do cargos ever go for cheap on grailed? What pants look like rick but cheaper?

Sizing on superstar low boots? i have geos in size 41 that aren't very tight, but are only truly loose in the toebox

>> No.10111847

>>10111815

Drawstring jersey/fleece pants show up all the time and are always on flash sale sites.

>> No.10111870

>>10111815

The cargo drawstring trousers from the drkshdw line tends to go for a reasonable price depending on size. If you're a 30-32 waist you could cop for around 300 in bnwt if you're patient.
It's hard to find the good cuts for cheap in good condition. I would say go for the prisoner drawstring jogger if you can find them. They are my absolute favorite bottoms I own and I managed to get an XS in the lighter SS fabric. Rick trousers tend to fit a whole size large by the way. I recommend erring on the smaller side if you're between sizes.

>>10111828
They fit oddly... They are stretch leather but they feel kinda loose in the heel so if you size up they are awkward to walk in, but sizing down and the insole is too small and unforgiving. I recommend getting as true to your Rick size as possible. Err on the side of sizing a half size down IMO. I'm a true 10.5 in the tech runners and 10.5 was best for me in these as well.

thanks. you think they are worth $345? (superstars)

>> No.10111878

>>10111870

I should add that I'm typically between a 10 and 11. Mostly a 43 in CPs and Rick, but sometimes a 44 in FR labels and smaller fitting shoes like the Ramones lows for some reason.

>> No.10111881

>>10111876

They went for a lot lower elsewhere. I personally wouldn't pay above 300... More like 250 seems worth it. They aren't entirely popular and a lot of sites couldn't sell me all at full reduction even.

It depends.... Do you love them? If you don't I would say pass. I'd get a different rickadidas

What's everyone's thoughts on the springblades? I'm thinking about copping them for techwear fits

>> No.10112283

>>10112262
Make sure you size up. They fit slim... You can pull of true to size but I think the look a little better on the bigger side as a result. They really on work with really tapered bottoms like joggers. They can look trashy really quick otherwise.

are you sure to size up? every single rick adidas ive owned, i had to size down half a size...

>> No.10112441

>>10112366

What's your size in CPs, or Rick Owens shoes? Do you know what your true size is? What about size in Nikes and Adidas?
People often have a poor idea of their proper foot sizing. Particularly men. Vanity sizing is a real problem in the men's realm, particularly in the sneaker world. I'm a true 10.5. I tend to wear 43 in Italian shoes, 44 in FR. Guidi I'm a 44.5, rick I'm a 43 in some cuts, a 44 in others. CPs I'm a 43 in the Achilles, 44 in the runners. But Nikes? I'm an 11.5. What is that? Why are they so wrongly sized. Adidas I'm a 10.5 to 11.5 depending on the cut. my point is it's inconsistent but if you average out my shoe size I tend to fit a 10.5 best. I'm a 10.5 in the tech runners. Every season. Even the springblades. But I can do an 11 and have it be snug on my foot still, or a 10 even comfortably though more snug in the toe box. I recommend getting a half size up from your tts because this variation is so slim in the silhouette that they make your feet look small. They look a lot like soccer cleats on.

Anyway I've owned a ton of Rick footwear, I can compare sizes within that too if that helps. They definitely don't give as much room as the previous two iterations to size down. Definitely take true to size at least.

>>10112356
They feel (and look) vaguely like a soccer cleat. They aren't that strange to walk on... The only notable feeling I had was they feel "round" like your foot never lands flat on the ground so much as rolls.

>> No.10112443

>>10112350

Because it's so stretchy. Just take your true size and be done with it. You can size down if you want.

ive never owned cps but dont 90% of designer shoes use the same sole that cp does? if so, then 11us would be too big for me , even though its my actual true foot size. i wear a size 10 in rick boots, never tried on his mainline sneakers though.

you say that the springblades are slim and have allot of room but so do the 2nd tech runners. hell , theyre basically the same exact shoe, just different soles and the tongue is reversed.

>> No.10112563

>>10112470

Ehhhhh just because they use the same sole doesn't mean they fit the same in the upper at all... Regardless that metric is pulled right out of nowhere. None of the shoes in question BUT CPs use this sole which is why it's a common shoe to gauge your foot size.

Secondly, saying the moody tech runner and faun tech runners are "basically the same" is just inaccurate. What I'm saying is the faun runner uses a mesh upper that is very thin (literally see through) and slim fitting. It is mildly forgiving but you can actually see your foot through the upper that's how slim it is. It's not nearly as forgiving as the neoprene upper the moody the runner uses however. The neoprene is much more stretchy and can accommodate more foot sizes. The sole also flexes more due to the EVA foam. Meanwhile. The faun sole bends at the springblades but the blades themselves are attached to an unyielding plastic sole. This shape is far less forgiving for the foot compared to the more flexible moody runners. If you size down in the faun runners and they fit too small, over time the lack of flexibility in the plastic sole and stiffness of the mesh will cause them to rip at the glue seams.

Yeah they have nice cuts but only if you're a twig, they won't look that good on you if you aren't one of their models. second, why the hell would you combine SLP and Rick? If anything, buy a sleeveless DRKSHDW shirt or tank for like $100, or just save up for a double layer tee. You buy Rick to get the look, not for a regular cut shirt with some print on it. And wait before buying shoes, there was just the major mid-July sale on most shop websites so you most likely aren't going to be finding any good deals on shoes right now, wait until another sale or just look on Grailed. But don't just buy shit for the logo man. Trust me. Do some research and really think if you can wear these clothes with other clothes before blowing thousands on your wardrobe.

For double layer tees I;ve heard people say to size up as the armholes are kinda high (which is a problem with alot of tees in my experience.

So this probably has a pretty obvious answer, but I don't know it.

I've tried on a few Rick jackets, and I'm ready to put down for one, but I'd like to get it used. The ones I've tried on had a very thin leather that was very comfortable and easy to move in and draped very nicely on me, and was pretty fitted to my body. I see some jackets online though, and in the photo they look thicker, and sometimes I see jacket shots on models and the jacket looks stiffer, AND not as tight on the body. What do I need to look out for if I want the kind of jackets I tried on?
