While I don't mind SLP, I don't see how it really qualifies as 'heroin chic'.

Besides the silhouettes, and the occasional distressed fabrics, the overall look comes across as very clean, something worn by celebrities and rich asians. Pic related.

I think Hedi just likes the rocker look though and wants to design that. He doesn't set the price though, and SLP being a fashion house will just attract celebrities and kids with more money than they know what to do with. Hedi's favorite models are musicians he comes across and meets, and they couldn't care less what he designs. Part of the allure imo

youre right. but the lifestyle implied by the parisian slp look is still at odds with the lifestyle of a heroin addict. the only affinity is the gauntness of the body which is achieved by different motives. unless the models actually do use dope.
