Yeah, Guidi's have a much chunkier and raw look to them, I mean when you look at them it's much more obvious that they're made of animal skins. That does look great in some settings but they're hardly interchangeable with regular chelsea boots without overhauling the rest of the outfit.

if you want the big ugly old-style australian work-type chelseas try oliver rather than blundstone. blunnies fall apart and most other brands produce boots that are a bit too modern/practical.

got some from lanvin on the cheap. no ugly gy welting, all black, just slick. Lobb is probably better if you want to go the extra mile though. SLP has really good last but the materials are meh. Or you could just go get some made from the jews on seville row.

what do you gahs think of beaten chelseas, i have a pair with pretty worn out leather, i changed the sole and heel twice, i do love the fit and the whole structure is slim and comfortable at the same time, the thing is the leather, its wrinky and it got lighter in the toe, posting pics tomorrow if needed

i wan the leather to look coarser and more worn out, but keeping the sole and heel clean

Front tab makes putting them on way more practical, I don't see why most other Chelsea's don't have them.
