The resin used in Casios isn't going to change any time soon, it works perfectly and has no issues. The only real alternative are full stainless models, which are heavier, but could support 18-20mm lugs.

I think we're eventually going to see a MIP square with atomic solar, which is worth waiting for if you like negative displays, but it'll probably take another year or two to come out, and will require bluetooth to your phone for half the functions.

Personally, my dream watch would be a MIP atomic solar with programmable faces and a sapphire screen. I'd pay about a grand for a watch like that. As is, I hate the font they're using on the MIP screens, so I'll stick with the older basic LCD models for a while.
