what? that answer has nothing to do with whether or not her work has "themes" to it, or whether or not she's working with a distinct vocabulary.

without a shred of background knowledge or interest in this designer i can look at this little sample you've posted and pick out a whole slew of thematic elements. she's riffing on bondage paraphernalia with the japanese shibari & the nipple clamp decals, but contrasting it with these ultra-conservative almost nun-like shrouds & gowns ... so there's a dialogue there between explicit and constrained sexuality, made sort-of manifest in the fact that the ropes are binding but not actually restricting the models' movement. there's another element with the bare faces & unstyled hair -- not just youthful, but childlike, virginal -- so i'd assume she's trying to communicate something about the boundaries and expectations placed on young women as sexual beings, especially with the blindfolds ("protect me from what i want.") u know, whatever, there's nothing fresh about that narrative.

you don't need to justify or explain or make any excuses for what you like or dislike, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to be gleaned from the work.
