Something tells me it's just an AM/PM indicator. That's usually the case with these cheaper watches.
Pic most certainly related.

The korean watch industry isn't exactly large but it does have some interesting brands.
Tisell is the obvious one and it's also the only one that really deals in exports.
Rolens is kind of a Movado situation. They're pretty much the only korean watchmaker with some heritage, back in the days they've made some unique pieces for korean presidents or gifts for visiting foreign politicians but now they're banking on their all-gold designs HARD and do nothing else. Although they're starting to get into dress watches now after making a unique piece for president Moon Jae-In and a lot of people are trying to get something similar.
A lot of the massive industrial conglomerates have their own brands of department store shitters. The only notable one would be Harriot. They have some okay designs, basically hopping on the fashion watch aesthetic but putting some more effort into their design and with much better quality control. They claim to be 100% handmade in Korea and they appear to only use quartz movements. I can't find exactly what movement they use, info is quite scarce if you can't read korean. They ship into duty-free stores a lot.
Romanson is the last big actor and their main business is in sending buttloads of "affordable luxury" automatics in SEA, India and Pakistan. They're very much trying to be the korean Swatch and have the 30-300 bucks market cornered. Some emphasis on ladies' watches with a lot of flowery designs for the korean Karen and the south-easterners who watch loads of K-dramas.
