I vote live manipulation of samplers plus turntablism.

I sent you an e-mail. Missed your response the first night, and then forgot to check back.
I also feel silly sticking to any one style because I am a producer, I've been outputting media for a long time in various forms and I feel as if I've earned the right to try building my own look, or to at least defy the expected look for a person in my field.

I think I feel most at home making sample-based music in torn shirts, old jeans and heavily weathered high tops. The look should be as battered as the sounds, I sometimes think.
When I'm really something proper, I tend to forget about how I dress and just throw on old shirts and jeans.
I think making beats is one of the most important things I do. I use multiple samplers in tandem, I have an awful lot of records for sources and I'm constantly finding new things. I just bought a suitcase full of funk 45's from a homeless man, and it's got some incredible sounds in it. The raw ore for my next 5-10 songs is sitting in front of me, and for the first time ever I feel intimidated.
