Why is /fa/ so obsessed with the Blue Chanel line? It's literally the most average scent that costs 200$. If it wasn't a Chanel, no one would bat an eye

Copped a 70ml of BDC EDP for 60 euros. Not a bad smell. H24 EDT is more exciting tho

Alright /fa/ I've been using Bleu de Chanel for a couple of years now. I've also really liked Bruno Banani's Magic Man for a while before that.

Would you have any nice recommendations that won't send me into crippling dept?

Went through the airport recently, tired h24 edt and edp again. I liked them more this time, still think that I wouldn't mind getting it as a gift and wearing it to the office but don't really love it. I did end up mixing up the scent strips at some point and could barely distinguish any differences between them, especially into the dry down. Granted, this wasn't skin, in an airport with other shit in the air etc. etc. if I wanted to be more thorough I'd get a decant to try at home properly but I have this feeling that the autistic debates I see on which flanker/concentration is best are moronic.

To add to this idea I got bdc edp gifted to me, never bothered trying all 3 and seeing which I like more. On my return flight I finally decided to try all 3. Again (maybe especially so because it was again on paper) I could barely distinguish them. Maybe olfactory fatigue/ noseblindness and all the airport circumstances but I just don't feel like the constant questions between which one is best are at all warranted for how superficial the differences appear. I did spray the edt and parfum on my wrist, after a while I think the parfum was stronger and had a more deep scent profile, so if I had to choose it would be that or the edp most likely, but I was left with the impression that if you have 1, the other 2 are undoubtedly redundant and that there wasnt much of a point trying to see which one was the best. Not the best experiment but a) I dont have a desire to procure all 3 and try properly and b) I think this observation is likely not far from the truth of the matter.
