I've been on 4chan for a while. I like the format and the way it encourages strange and wonderful things to spring up out of chaos. Like a glorious cubensis popping out of a cow pie. There's a vibe and a potential that only exists here. So there's shit posters. So there's garbage and racism and hate threads, so what?
We still get those moments that you just don't find on other forums.
Most of the other forums are either slowly dying or have become insular circle jerks, while the rest are so behind the cultural curve it's pathetic. Everyone talks about how shit 4Chan is and how ashamed they are of being here, but think about just how much culture and thought has POURED out of this place. How deeply rotted its influence is - to the point where it's completely invisible to most people.
This place is a furnace of free thought that cannot be properly moderated or monetized. How is that shameful?

A lot of life is about separating the wheat from the chaff. Do that here, you'll find what keeps you coming back.
