I didn't go for the MMM look, but I felt my thrift store $20 surplus GATS were too ratty looking and I wasn't wearing them much, so I tried painting them for fun; otherwise I'd just donate or bin them. I had some spare drywall paint so I just used that with a brush. Surprisingly it stuck on pretty damn well. I had walked about 10km in them so far when I took these pics. I was worried they would overheat with the paint on them, but doesn't seem much different to before.
