basketball shoes can look extremely dope, it's just a matter of how they're worn. they're so chunky that they look bad with your average hypebeasty/franalations (skinny/baggy jeans with basketball jersey/blvck scvle tshirt)
they do have really interesting silhouettes and i wish more people would try to wear them in dope fits

plainer stuff you can get away with cheaper versions, but 'statement' items (junya parka, visvim fbts for example) you will have to drop some cash on, but keep an eye on the various secondhand sites
