Never been a fan of the wavy lines on the dial but that is a good looking watch overall.

It's hit or miss with them. They did a pretty good job cleaning up the SARX series. Anything more on the dial probably would have turned me off. Was a moderately tough pill to swallow though. The movement is very meh (6R15), but I failed to find a dressy-to-casual watch with better finishing and overall aesthetics under the $1,000 mark.

It definitely checks a lot of boxes. Dresses up and down well enough. Finish is outstanding at any price point, doubly so for <$1,000. Movement is arguably the most meh part of it, but anyone going in knows that watch is about the fit and finish over top shelf accuracy. Not my end-all watch, but definitely took care of my need for a new dress watch that can be worn business casual all day too.

Rubber also sucks if you put a lot of wear on the watch. Salt water and mildly aggressive chemicals attack the shit out of rubber straps. Have lost a G-Shock when the rubber finally got brittle and weak enough to just snap while out at sea. Have had other rubber bands to get to the point they weren't far from doing the same until I replaced them with canvas/nylon.

Soliciting recommendations for a sub-$1,000 chronograph. Looking at grabbing two sub-$1k shitters in the immediate future. Hamilton pilot day date is leading the pack on the modern aviator end. At a loss when it comes to the just-above-bottom shitter grade chronos.
