Yes, we are limited to this kind of style. French collar is okay, but no suit colours other than charcoal and navy. However, there are ties with distinct small patterns (i.e.) that are forbidden. Instead it's the regular navy blue tie (with polka dots on a good day). One job even forbad me to wear a white linen pocket square, as such was reserved for the higher-ups. I left after three months.
