They should be a bit tight at first, it's normal to experience some chaffing - I recommend you condition (with a leather conditioner, not polish) them more often during the first couple of weeks. If your feet actually feel like they're being forced into unnatural form and you get cramps or something of that sort you should prob get a larger size. If the larger size is too large you can get insoles/thicker socks (assuming you don't want to consider another model).

I have a pair of black derby Solovair's (pic) that are pretty versatile and I feel comfy about wearing with a suit or just casually. Out of all of the boots I've had it's also at the fairest price-to-quality ratio, good customer support as well.

I think I've finally found the boot I've been looking for - practical sole, welted, nice black leather, slim enough profile, no retarded add-ons or goofy stitching and it costs 140 queen coins which is very fair compared with my other options.

I'm only unsure about what size to order - does anyone have a Solovair boot with a 493 last?, if so what size are you in other boots/generally?
